Men, Boycott the BNZ (Bank of New Zealand)!© Peter Zohrab 2013 |

The BNZ has taken a proactive stance in favour of the empowerment of women. There are lots of things wrong with this:-
Women in Western societies are routinely Feminist, which drives some of them to use their employment positions in Feminist (i.e. anti-male) ways. For example, the following two emails (with the name of the bank deleted) show that an employee of a bank (presumably female) used her position to reverse the order of the names of the husband (myself) and wife in the name of their account, without asking them! Naturally, she placed my wife's name first, whereas originally it had been second. I had to write to the headquarters of the bank (after emailing them twice) to get an apology, although I did not ask to get the names restored to the original order, since the point of my complaint was just that we had not been asked for permission before the change was made.

Thank you for your email regarding the name on your cheque book.
I apologise for any inconvenience caused to you in this regard.
When a cheque book is ordered the details are manually entered in by the
staff member. In this instance, it has been entered as P Zohrab and <snip>.If you require this to be updated (my emphasis) to Mrs <snip> and Mr P D Zohrab,
please reply and we will arrange to send a new book to you.In addition to this, if there is anything else we can help you with,
please follow the link below to our website or alternatively contact us

(The above email did not answer the question that I had asked, so I emailed the bank again.)

If the person at the headquarters of the bank had been a Feminist, she would possibly just have supported her female subordinate, since I am a mere male, and the bank might well have adopted a policy that all joint account names must have female names preceding male names, as a form of "updating"!!
Men must boycott the BNZ, because there is no merit -- and a lot of danger -- in preferentially promoting women over men, unless men are preferentially placed in teaching and nursing etc. jobs where women predominate, and women are sent down the mines to die alongside the men!
