The United States -- like other Western countries
-- does not have a functioning democracy, if you consider that
gender equality is an essential feature of democracies. Consider
the following facts:

In a 2019 press
release former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy
Pelosi, stated as follows:
"For a quarter century, the Violence Against Women Act
has stood as a landmark achievement in the fight to eradicate
the scourge of sexual assault and domestic violence. Every woman
has the right to live free from fear, intimidation and violence,
and over the last 25 years, this transformative, bipartisan legislation
has delivered extraordinary progress to achieve this critical
mission."

The title of this Act only mentions violence
against women and Nancy Pelosi herself only wanted women to live
free from fear, intimidation and violence. Why? Was
that because violence against men never happens, or was is that
Nancy Pelosi and the US Congress just don't care about men?

According
to Vanity Fair on October 18, 2022, "Last week, video
footage revealed that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi wanted to sock
Trump in the mouth on January 6, and vowed to do so if he showed
up at the Capitol."

In
a later interview about her desire to commit violence against
President Trump, Pelosi said: “So you have to recognize
that they are undermining our democracy,” Pelosi said. “And
if people think that … can be casual about that, they just
don’t realize how serious the Republicans are about undermining
our democracy.”

The United States is a place where a female Speaker of the House
of Representatives supported a law banning violence against women,
but herself openly threatened to act violently towards a man.

You can understand how some Republicans
(and others) might think that the USA is hardly democratic anyway,
so its democracy cannot by undermined much more than the Feminists
have already undermined it.
